Lindsey Graham MCSP HCPC AACP
Senior Physiotherapist & Director

Lindsey graduated from Brunel University, London in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She returned to the North East after her studies and began work as a Junior Physiotherapist at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

In 2004 she started working at a private physiotherapy clinic in Newcastle, specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

In 2005 she became a member of the Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists (AACP).

In 2010 Lindsey set up Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic. Originally based in Sunderland Aquatic Centre (and called Totally Tranquil). The business has grown in recent years. In January 2013 the team and services grew and the clinic relocated to Mere Knolls Road.

Lindsey has over the years developed a keen interest and qualifications holistic and complementary therapies.

She has a special interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy, in particular, pre/ post natal care and fertility support.

Lindsey and Sharon lead the Mummy MOT and Women’s Health Services at Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic.

Lindsey is available for daytime appointments on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Please note she will be starting her Maternity leave at the end of  June 2018.

Sharon - Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic

Senior Physiotherapist

Sharon qualified in 2002 from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.

Following graduation she spent 2 years working for the NHS before specialising in Musculoskeletal conditions and moving into the Private sector.
She has since had experience working with GP’s, Occupational Health, Sports Injuries and private clients, gaining hands on knowledge for the treatment of many different conditions.

Sharon joined the SPC team in January 2015.

She has a special interest in soft tissue release and is qualified in both Myofascial Release (MFR) and Craniosacral Therapy (CST), a very gentle technique that can give powerful results. Sharon is also a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).

Her area of expertise is the treatment of spinal and pelvic disorders, as well as Women’s Health Physiotherapy.

Sharon and Lindsey lead the Mummy MOT and Women’s Health Services at Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic.

Sharon is available for daytime appointments on Mondays,Tuesdays and Fridays.

Senior Physiotherapist

Debs graduated from Northumbria University in 2006 with an Advanced Diploma in Nursing. She went on to work as a Staff Nurse in Neo-Natal care.

With a desire to study further and follow her first love of Physiotherapy, she was able to gain a place at the University of Ulster in 2008, studying BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.

In 2011 Debs finished her degree with First Class Honours and continued into employment, whilst working towards her Masters degree.

Debs has since worked within the NHS and in private Physiotherapy Clinics in the UK. She is a holistic physiotherapist, promoting over all well-being with her management and treatment techniques.

She is qualified in Acupuncture, Massage, Reflexology and is also a qualified Yoga teacher.

Debs provides the Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture service at Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic.


Debs joined the team in Jan 2016 and is available for appointments on Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.

Sophie Maw
Sports Massage Therapist

Sophie graduated from University of Sunderland in 2014 with a degree in Sports and Exercise Development.

Wanting to improve her knowledge further and develop her interest in anatomy, physiology and injury prevention, she went on to study Level 3 Sports Massage qualifying in 2015, enhancing her skills to level 4 in 2018.

She then completed a Diploma in Pregnancy Massage in 2016. 

Sophie joined the team at Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic in May 2016 and also works with Houghton Rugby Club providing pre & post match sports massages as well as pitch side first aid for the first team.

She is qualified in Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Swedish Massage and is available for clinic appointments weekdays/ evenings and alternate Saturday mornings.

Senior Physiotherapist

Pete graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University in 2006. 

He worked for several trusts in Northern Ireland before relocating with his wife to Sunderland in 2014.

For the last 4 and a half years he has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist for County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust as well as seeing clients at a private clinic. 

He has experience in treating all Musculoskeletal injuries but has a particular interest in the Cervical Spine (neck). 

Pete has recently completed his Injection Therapy training in conjunction with Keele University. 


He is available at Sunderland Physiotherapy Clinic on Monday evenings, from June 2018.
